Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Integral to Reducing Carbon Footprint of New Housing Developments

Reza Nasseri, Promise Robotics Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer, recently participated in a panel for part four of Corporate Knights Earth Index event series. The panel examined the gap between Canada’s climate actions and targets, while looking at the necessary steps in order to close it. Corporate Knights head of research, Ralph Torrie, outlined the need for changes to Canada’s retrofit program in order to bend the curve. By 2030, existing homes will make up 90% of Canada’s residential emissions. During the panel, Torrie noted that construction of future developments will need to be carbon neutral, and mentioned that Promise Robotics’ use of robotics and artificial intelligence to reduce the carbon footprint of new housing developments is key to making this happen.
